We had our pre wedding photo session last Saturday and today’s post would be more like an Oscar winning speech from me. Hehe…

First, I thank God for the perfect weather. Hey folks! Weather forecast shows that it’s gonna be rainy last Saturday but  it didn’t! It was all sunny and the grass was dry. We were worried sick if it’s gonna rain because we wanted our photos taken outdoor and I can’t afford to wet & dirty my Jiu & Keith Kee!

Next, I would like to thank my parents for the endless herbal teas & soups before & after the photo session. It helps alot! *Muacks*

A big thank you to our EXTREMELY crazy photographer Min Ho (That’s how he preferred to be called) & all his assistance for making the entire photo session a fun filled session.

Last but not least, a big thank you to Ms Ruriko (My make up artist) for covering my wrinkles (ahem!) with the inch thick ICI & the hair-do for the entire photo session.

It all started with a good night sleep before the pre wedding photo session and forcing ourselves to wake up at 4:45am in the morning for a light breakfast and getting everything ready for the day.

Make up and hairdo took 2hrs. Photo shoot starts at around 8-ish.

As soon as we reached Clear Water Santuary Resort, we were told that the resort has upgraded one of our rooms to Anna’s Suite - The honeymoon suite at CWS! Thanks again to our photographer for helping us to get the room upgraded!

Photobucket

I stayed in the same suite Jodie Foster stayed during her shooting of Anna & the King many years ago. *Smiles*

How was it? Hah! I shall let the photos do all the talking…

The walk-in closet has a view of a tiny private “pool”.

There are two entrance/door to the bedroom. Yes, the bed is facing the lake too…

The suite’s bathroom comes with two taps. So I should be using one to brush my teeth at night and another the next morning? :p

Photobucket

YES! Anna’s suite comes with a jacuzzi! Weeeeeeeeeeee!!!

This is a photo taken while I was STILL laying on my bed early the next morning. It was nice to wake up facing the calm & peaceful lake.. I wish I could stay for another night :p

So, some may asked if the photo session was too tiring.. My answer would be a big NO. The entire session was very well planned, it was almost like a weekend getaway with X-T with the luxury of having a great photographer tagging along and his assistant to help us with our belongings! A royal vacation indeed :p

Photobucket

It was almost like a honeymoon for us except for the fact that we aren’t married yet and X-T was “assigned” to a room 1/2 the size smaller than moi.. ahem…

Remember the have-wife-will-save electricity  suggestion by X-T? Well, not only we ended up having a machine to do all our washing, we brought in a washing giant and now I’m “OUT OF JOB” because he’s taking over the laundry. X-T and his new ‘toy’! Goodness..I’ve never seen XT so excited about doing laundry. *eyes rolled*

First, he rushed to the hardware store to get the extensions, water inlet/outlet extensions. Next, he  rushed to the hyper mart to get low suds detergent, hangers, clips and everything required for the opening ceremony first batch of clean laundry!

Photobucket

Who on planet earth needs a 14kg washer/8kg dryer giant at home? 14kg for 2 adults?????!!!!!

Photobucket

Practising for our pre-wedding photo shoot this weekend?!?

X-T is currently VERY hardworking- making sure laundry’s clean and I can now shake legs and drink kopi..I wonder how long will that last….. I truly wonder…….  :s

Aww HOI..WAIT A MINUTE…how about ironing….!!

The Korean Grapes season are back! I love the unique texture and the fragrance of the grapes is almost similar to Japanese sweets or Jelly I used to enjoy when I was a lil’ kiddo. The only thing that stops me from buying these grapes everyday is the price. RM28/kg. Anybody can tell me where I can get them at a cheaper price? They’re all prepacked and most bag weight more or less around 500gms. 500gm is very little because these grapes are quite heavy. :s

Korean Grapes. These babes are more spherical compared to the normal grapes from the US. The skin is thicker too but it’s Ok, you’re not supposed to eat the skin anyway :)

Yes, the grapes requires peeling and it contains seed. But don’t worry, I’ve never had grapes where the meat was so easy to extract!

Here’s how you peel the Korean Grapes.

Photobucket

Pluck off a grape and grip it between teeth, forefinger & thumb. Suck the grape while squeezing with your finger & thumb gently. As the grape slips off the peel and pops into your mouth, discard the skin. As you chew, you’ll realised that the texture is much more gooey compared to the normal grapes.

P/S: Initially, we pop the entire grapes into our mouth, we chewed and we swallow everything except the seeds. We didn’t know the ‘peeling method’ until we’ve almost finished 3/4 bag of the grapes and felt something is ‘not right’. Suddenly, I had an idea of squeezing the grapes to enjoy the grapes in a different way and we realised that it was more plesurable to eat them without the skin!. Later at night, I Googled & it confirms that THAT was actually the proper way to eat them..tsk tsk tsk.

Very often, I receive notes like these attached to the food containers whenever X-T comes to my place with a bag of food from my future MIL.

Last week, a container filled with mushroom & chicken quiche was delivered and a box of her extremely delicious sesame butter cupcakes too. Another post-it note with my initial “S.C” came along with the treats. Didn’t show you the photos cos it’s too delicious and every time I open the boxes of treat she gave, I forgot about the camera! Her perfection in everything she cooks has somehow turned X-T and [especially] ‘me’ a very picky eater. :s

mooncake1

Here’s her latest masterpiece for the upcoming moon cake festival. Lotus paste single yoke moon cake for moi!

Photobucket

Everything was homemade with passion, including the white lotus paste except for the lotus seeds & salted duck egg. Guess if she has the time & 20 yrs younger, this superwoman of mine might even consider rearing her own ducks for the eggs!

Here’s just a tiny introduction of my future MIL and there’s so much to learn from this “Wonder chief” who can cook basically EVERYTHING from scratch. It’s gonna be a great culinary adventure between us. We shared a  common interest in cooking and she is such a jovial lady. 3 months left before she sips the tea I serve and I pray hard not to be a pain in the ass for her when I begin to call her my MOTHER. Hahah!

Oh btw, what do you call your Mother-in Law (MIL) & Father-in Law (FIL)? Any of you call them mummy & daddy?

A smart suggestion made by moi fiance…

X-T: Having a wife at home saves electricity.
L’abeille: Huh…Why?
X-T: Safe electricity mar…no need to buy washing machine already, wife hand washes the daily laundry muahahaha…
L’abeille: Ya right! -.-

So, here we are..hunting for a front load washing machine for our “nest”.  L’abeille 1, XT 0

Rows and rows of front load washing machine displayed but which one’s the best?

AS always, my practical fiance would pick the one which the most function and the right size to fit the slot we’ve allocated for the machine at our home.

AS usual, I go for the design and the colour of the machine. Oh and SIZE does matter! The bigger, the better.. *grin* I’m talking about the duvet, the huge thick comforter, the large sheets and all. How to fit inside a 6kg machine …right? X-T’s 2 days clothing will fill up  3/4 of tub space of my 7kg  top load machine now lor… why so many laundry? I donno..you go ask him lar..   -.-

Here are the basic functions you can find on most of the washing machines.

This one also not bad, alot more functions compared to the previous unit“..said XT

But this particular one won his heart..why? Got “Baby Care“.. He said “Eh dear look! This one even includes a function to bath our baby in the future“.

You won’t want to know his comments when we walked towards the fridge section and he saw the word “Child Lock“. *scary, I tell you!*

Yes, ladies & gentleman… I’m marrying THIS MAN in 3 months time and he will be the father of my child… *biting nails*
