That’s exactly what X-T would say every time I cook him a meal. Lately, my most common answer given would be, I’ve blogged about this before OR nah, today’s dinner is too simple to blog…every Minah, Ah Soh and Abu’s wife also cook these at home. Reason: Cooking is a form of art to him, the talent in fying a good omelet is a gift from God *shaking my head in disbelief*. So, a meal consist of ABC soup, stir fry veg and a meat dish can really…and i mean REALLY make him happy. Just imagine if he gets a surprise dinner of fajitas or his all time favourite red wine chicken stew. He melts… and again he’ll merrily singing “Don’t you want to take a picture?”. Geez…

I remember when we first met, the foodie photos I took was mostly 1/2 bitten, few spoonful swallowed or a nicely decorated dish shattered into pieces because I forgot to inform him earlier that I need a picture of that meal. After a few missed shots, he begun to pick up my bad habitsblogging habits and would ask… “Don’t want to take picture ar?” before he start to eat. :p

A pic of our 1/2 finished yogurt cucumber & red onion salad on a weekday dinner…

After 2 years..OH YES! We’re gonna celebrate our LAST anniversary as BFGF next weekend. I bet it’s gonna be fun because coincidentally, pre wedding shots will be taken on our anniversary and we’re gonna be at a resort away from the busy city, away from our lappy, away from blogging and obviously away from civilization. We’ll be meeting the lake, the trees, the gardens and hopefully some fresh air. I would already expect an inch thick of chemicals covering my face a.k.a cosmetics, crowned with gel and hair clips the entire day. X-T will be REALLY sweaty as he wears a tux under the hot scorching sun! In fact, we’ll be there for the night and obviously we’re gonna have our anniversary dinner there too. Got candlenight dinner or not…I’m not too sure but definitely, I’ll bring along my insect repellent! We’ll share more about our photo session when we return next week..okey? *winks*

Rosemary grilled Chic with pesto Fettucini

A picture of me serving of rosemary grilled chicken with pesto fettuccine. *hand’s shaking..too hungry* X-T said “take picture..take picture”

NEXT year, the time ticker at the corner of our blog will be back to day ZERO and the countdown to our 1st wedding anniversary will begin. Eh, do you know that traditionally, gifts in a form of PAPER were given to each other on the first wedding anniversary? FYI, 2nd year would be in a form of cotton.. Being the practical HIM, I bet he’s gonna give me a bag of toilet paper on our first and a bag of sanitary facial cottonon our second haha! I’m not hinting to him now, I just gotta know my fiance doesn’t read my blog…he only look at the photos! So I can say what I want in smaller fonts and BIGGER pictures..yay..yay!

So, next year, we’ll be staying together as a family. There will be more to endure enjoy, exploring the unknown areas in our lives and I bet it will be more than just enduring my ’snap pic before eating’ habits and my eating habits.

Fajita Chic & Couscous

A simple meal of Chili spiced chic strips with lemon & herb couscous & yogurt cucumber salad with onion.

For example, when X-T and I first met, he used to call me a “rabbit” due to my habit of having mostly meatless meals. He was brought up eating wholesome meaty meals with white rice *A MUST I would say*. Talkabout couples from two different backgrounds and entirely different way of upbringing. After a while, where more vege & less meat were also served on HIS plate, he got used to it already.

I picked up a few habits from X-T too during our courting days. Well, I begin to learn that a healthy car engine is far MORE important compared to a clean car exterior and 4 sparkling rims for my case. Always making sure the engine is in good condition is a big issue for him. Next, I spend lesser when I’m with him because he pays for my shoppinghe can easily differentiate between “wants” and “needs”. Of course, occasionally, he plunge on the ‘wants’ but that’s all because of the evil me and it’s gonna be a different story for another day. Heh!

120 days to go before we enter into a brand new journey together, more habits to compromise, to adjust and to fit into each other’s life and I’m sure there’s more to learn from each other. Who said marriage is all about spice, sugar and everything nice?!

Hey you..have a great Merdeka weekend ya!

I’ve been replenishing this container and carrying this thingy in and out of my office since last weekend. Yes! A baby’s powdered milk container in MY bag. “ANAKKU” brand some more. BEFORE you start to spread the good news rumours saying that L’abeille is carrying a baby before her wedding day *SPANK YOUR SMELLY backside!*…  Please..I beg of you to read on…

I NEED to start my day right with the RIGHT kind of coffee. In fact, I need 2 cups of coffee a day. One in the morning and another in the afternoon. No problem for me in the morning because I’ll have my cuppa before I go to work. The problem is my afternoon fix. Please do not ask me why I need to bring my own beverage to work. I’m already thankful the hot and cold water dispenser is available.. *rolled eyes*

Being a lazy me, I bought myself those 3-in-1 bags of coffee. It’s convenient, it’s easy to make but it tasted horrible. In fact, I’ve never came across a good 3-in-1 coffee in the market that suits my taste. If i put in lesser water, my coffee tasted like sugar. Too much water, it tasted diluted. It’s very frustrating you know!

I bought myself a “baby powdered milk container” so that I can load 3 cups of “L’abeille’s homemade 3-in-1 coffee” and bring it to the office with me. The PRECISE measurement, the perfect balance of coffee, organic brown sugar & cream all in each compartment.

Whenever a coffee craving strikes L’abeille….

*Shake..shake…shake 1 ”compartment” of powder into a mug.

TIPS from my boss when he saw my “baby powdered milk container” sitting at my desk”. Remember to buy a baby powdered milk container with an opening that has a funnel opening or else you’ll have a hard time shaking off the content. :)

JUST add hot water and I’ll get myself a quick fix just like the one at I had at home! Wee….

Oh ho…guess it’s time for another 3 cups refilled. L’abeille can now SAY Goodbye…to supermarket premix blurk  :p

Good coffee makes a happier me but a great husband completes me..kekeke.. Wah it rhymes!

A class photo of yours truly with my bunch of classmates way back in 1995. No reward for guessing which one’s me. *shy..*

Until today, most of us are still actively bullying each other over the MSN chat and organising meet up sessions (which I ponteng-ed most of the time hehe). Thanks to our class monitor and his assistant or passing our contacts around and updating our marital status among friends!

My school going cousins wished school holidays last longer and their OLD COUSIN SISTER HERE misses school..  Wuahhhhhhh!

X-T was ready to donate his small share of blood to replace the supplies kongkong used up during his duration in the hospital. My uncle couldn’t do it this time because he had his blood extracted 3 weeks ago and he can only donate another pint after 3 months of rest.

Photobucket

After a few very ‘intimate’ personal questions asked regarding his intimate preferences… and a few health related questions answered..

Photobucket

X-T proceed to the next table to be poked for a blood test.

Photobucket

X-T was then invited to an empty bed for his blood to be extracted.

Photobucket

A nurse came to puncture his vein with a thick needle *I almost fainted*. My thick skinned fiance can still smile :s

Photobucket

In a short 10 minutes, the bloody bag was almost full.

Photobucket

15 mins later, the thick needle was removed and a tiny plaster was sticked to the hole to stop the bleeding. He went for a cup diluted milo and he was all pink-pink and ready to go.

It was his first time and i believe he won’t mind doing it all over again :))

Can you still Remember the fruit our media has been warning us not to buy from the stalls at rest areas around Perak?

I was curious to know how the fruit looked and tasted like. So, I DID asked XT to buy during our toilet break at one of the rest area on our way back from Ipoh yesterday. I was surprised to know that these fruits were still sold in the market. tsk tsk tsk…

Photobucket
Actually there were green and red coloured ones and I bet they both tasted the same. Out of curiosity to know what would the seller’s reply, I asked the lady which one tasted better :p. Guess what was her reply? “Hijau lagi sedap dimakan - GREEN ones tasted better” *faint*   Bagus punya jawapan. That’s how they con our dear tourist la. I gave her a smile, paid the two fruit for a hefty sum of MYR10 and left with the tasty forbidden green fruit which our country has ban for more than 3 months. Of course XT was still pulling his hair thinking why did he allow me to buy two preserved banned fruit at such high price :D

Here’s how the fruit looked like. I grabbed a bite and erm…pass a piece to XT. Aww, this is beginning to sound like a story of Adam and Eve partaking of the forbidden fruit *-.-*. Well, he did mention it was too sweet and had a strange after taste. He Stopped me from eating after my first piece of forbidden fruit. Actually, these fruits tasted just like guava… minus the natural sweetness, zero vitamin and nutrition left in it and you know it’s a deadly fruit the minute you sink your teeth onto one.

I’ve another one sitting in the fridge. Any taker?
