It has been almost a week since we got the keys to the serviceapartment [How can the agent call this a service apartment when the person who's gonna clean the unit and the laundry is myself huh? -.-]. Anywayyyyyyyy, we’re so happy to see that the unit is so clean and well maintained by the previous owner. The build-in kitchen cabinets are so NEW! Hey, I’ve been secretly calculating the ‘cost’ we saved looking at the unit that comes with 3 unit of air con, 2 water heaters, plaster ceiling, cornice and the down lights. The happiest thing is I don’t have to leave Ara Damansara after marrying X-T! :p *Thanks honeyyy*

After taking the real measurements from one corner to the other, Mr. Engineer a.k.a X-T is pretty busy with his Autocad and whatever 3D design drawings of the unit since Saturday. My VISUALISATION power is weak compared to X-T, so the 3D drawings really helped me in visualising the place with our choice of furnitures. So what have I done since that day? DAY DREAMING OF BRAD PITT the furnitures to fit in  and fell asleep a few timeswatching X-T working on his  X,Y & Z calculations on the lappy lor..

2 days ago, X-T submitted the 3D drawings to me and it was my turn to paint the wall and arranging the furniture VIRTUALLY into the unit. That’s the problem of leaving the 3D design unattended….While he was enjoying his PSII … I’ve turned the apartment into a kindergarten lor… Why? There’s something to do with the choice of wall colours. Ngek ngek ngek..

It all started with a happy photo of kongkong early this morning. Next, dad told me that grandpa’s pallet count has been improving since then. 30 minutes ago, my Pastor told me that my kongkong has accepted the Lord! Oh my, that’s the happiest news I heard since the day he was admitted to the hospital.

The keys

Just an hour before I end my work week and return home for the weekends, the lawyer’s dispatcher came to my office with the KEYS TO OUR VERY OWN…VERY FIRST… TINY LITTLE LOVE NEST! The S&P is complete. Aww..we just can’t wait to see our very first wedding home. Yes, we’ll only move in after our wedding..or else no meaning already lar..right?! When I called X-T to tell him about the arrival of the KEYS, he got all excited but at the same time, he was so worried that I’ll go home without them. We’ll be checking on our unit this evening….

God answers prayers!! Truly.. *Smiles…wipe tears of joy…SMILES*

The sudden vibration and a beep on my phone this morning as early as 7:15am gave me a near heart attack. Lately, it’s frightening to hear the sound of my cellphone. There are so many “what-ifs” running through my mind while I mess up my handbag to reach for the phone.

This morning.. the MMS from dad truly made my day even brighter. It’s even better than a cup of good coffee to give me a good kick start.  My beloved grandparents holding each other’s hands, how sweet..

“JOU SAN” a.k.a GOOD MORNING!

Usually, your blood transfusion will only sustain your pallet count for a day. After that, it drops back to the twenties range. After yesterday’s blood transfusion and a stronger antibiotics, dad said you’re adapting well with the medication and your pallet improves to 42. Words cannot describe how happy I was to hear such news. Lord, can we have our grandpa back in good health? We misses his smile and we want our dear grandma to be happy again…

23th July 2008- Updates from mom: Grandpa’s blood pallet count has dropped again this morning. Aunt FL is going back to Ipoh today to be with kongkong for a few days. Grandpa’s health was such a roller coaster ride these few days. Emotionally, it wasn’t stable for me either.

One of my cousin sister wrote something about our grandpa yesterday. If you read on, you’ll know how blessed we are to have such wonderful grandparents.

………. is to have all your love ones surrounding you when you’re old..

Get well soon

My maternal grandpa a.k.a kongkong is unwell 4 days ago. Was admitted to Fatimah Hospital, Ipoh. All his children, daughter-in-law and the grandchildren rushed back hometown on Sunday to surround him with words of comfort and love.

Saturday, 19th Jul 08- Mom called from Ipoh to inform that kongkong was admitted to the hospital due to high fever. His face was rather pale and yellowish. Blood test shows that his lungs, liver and kidney was inflamed.  Pallet count was low too.

Sunday, 20th Jul 08- In the wee hours on a Sunday morning, X-T drove sis and I back to meet the poor old man. The North-South highway was extraordinary quiet that day. Its so different from the usual weekend drives we had. So the recent increase in fuel prices does effect the traffic on the road or was it the widening of the 3-lane road.. Mmmm

Anyway, we headed straight to the hospital to see one of my precious man in my life. Thanks to the GPS X-T had, it was rather embarrassing for an Ipoh girl who was born and brought up here has totally lost her sense of direction in her own hometown.

kongkong
To me, grandpa was still weak on Sunday. According to mom, he looked much better compared to Saturday but it was still painful to see my precious man sick. Maybe it was because I was babysitted by my grandparents when I was still a pony tailed lil 3yo. Kongkong was the one introducing me to Cantonese cartoons on VHS and he was the one running around in the house persistently coaxing  me to finish my meal because I was stick thin back then. Today,  his eyes was gazing at each of his love ones like an innocent child. Tears was rolling down from the side of his eyes. It was pity to see him in such emotional state. He couldn’t talk much as he was still really tired and weak. He did fell asleep occasionally. He couldn’t remember most of our names but he knew we looked familiar to him.

We left in the afternoon. X-T told kongkong to stay healthy and I promise to visit him soon at his very own home. I took a deep breath and waved good bye. I could feel the bitterness as I tried to control my tears and smile in order not to make my mom cry. Deep in my heart, I want to believe he has the will power to stay on to fulfill his heart’s desires.

Tuesday, 22th Jul 08 - After the second blood transfusion was done on kongkong, his health and pallet count has improved tremendously. Mom just called to inform me that he told my mom that he might not remember who visited him in the hospital or what he had for lunch but he will never forget one thing -ONE VERY IMPORTANT EVENT, he said. He remembers our wedding. His eldest grand daughter and X-T is getting married. He even remembers the specific day! WOW wow.. kongkong way to go!!

“Yes kongkong, we’re waiting for you to recover fast-fast so that you can attend our wedding ceremony.

cousins
