I open the fridge earlier and I saw food in the fridge which I’m about to throw if I don’t clear it by today. Since X-T is not having dinner with me tonight, I thought why not I see what I can do with the leftovers..

The most common food left in the fridge is cooked organic 10 grain rice. Usually, the amount left is not enough to feed 2 mouths..

I can’t feed these precious leftover grains to the strays anymore. Used to be RM4.50/kg and last week, they cost me RM7.90/kg :( . I know, it’s extremely expensive but we don’t prefer white rice wor…how?

Found a spoonful of “choy-po” in a tiny bag hidden at the corner of the fridge side compartment. Hey, X-T bought these  many many..many months ago when we were in Malacca lor. Die lor, change color already! Mmm..maybe I should soak these crunchy preserve veg to rinse away the salt and discoloration and use it ASAP. :S

Hey, cool! Olive leaves in a bottle… that’s gonna give some flavor to the rice.

Argh… when leftovers were thrown into a hot pan and stirred for a few minutes, it’s called fried rice…. Yes? No?

With just a blink of an eye, we’re left with 7 months before the big day. Lately, our weekends were filled with endless shopping…shopping and more shoppings. Our wedding bands were ready, my gown and X-T’s coat will be ready for fitting in two weeks time. The ring pillows and flowergirl basket were all nicely wrapped in sealed plastic bags. We’ve engaged our florist to check out the church and the hotel where the banquet will be held. Tai Thong was informed that we’re ready for the food testing session ….Yay! FOOD!! Jetfynn will be our wedding photographer for the entire event. The caterers were short listed, wedding favors were confirmed, cards will be ready for printing as soon as the papers arrive. The wedding theme was set, X-T’s shoes were ready…so are my heels for the gowns. Ruriko was assigned to be my makeup & hairdo artist for the entire event. Nancy Chong will be baking our three tier cake. The wedding team was finally formed- thanks to a whole bunch of great church friends :). We finished quarter of our prewedding counselling with Sis J and there’s still 3 quarter more to go. Phew! It was a little tiring during the preparation but it was truly a happy experience.

Here are some of the random photos taken during our last weekend in Ipoh.

X-T’s final fitting session performed by an experienced “Sifu” in town.

NEXT…

A visit to the church to discuss the floral arrangement with our florist. *The image seen walking towards the church is not an angel*

We were admiring the alter. Guess it will be wonderful to have an arch with real flowers sitting here on the actual day :)

I love the ray of light…

Mmm…unique chairs.

On that very same day…

The family gathered to try out the wedding cake baker a.k.a Nancy Chong’s all time famous marble butter cake.

Last but not least… I had a trial session with my makeup artist on that very SAME day…. *zzzzZzz*

I tilt my head for almost 2 hours and my neck felt like it’s about to break at the end of the makeup session…

Ruriko(My makeup artist) transformed Miss Plain Jane…

into

Miss Not-so-plain.

Doesn’t look like me at all wei!! Scary betul… it was even scarier when I started to remove my makeup that evening.

Nothing was removed after my first wash… #%_(*#%)# Charm lor…. See lar, eyes also bengkak jor la…

My makeup remover was too mild even though it’s stated as oil based water proof eye makeup remover. Good brand somemore!. At the end, I was wiping my face with 3 different makeup remover and 3 facial wash but nothing seems to work. There were still dirt on my face. Thank goodness there’s olive oil. Yes! ladies, it works! A gentle wipe and the color around my eyes were removed instantly.. cool!

This is only the first round of makeup…. *shivers*, there’s more to come ler… *double the shivers*

Woot! There will be two weeks of rest for us before my gown fitting day and oh yes, we’ll be coming up with the wedding website real so0n ;)

P/S: This is not a sponsored post. I don’t get paid for writing this post…. yet!

I remember many months ago when Facebook is still very new, I received invitations from friends to join the community….I ignored. Initially, there were only one or two invitations to join but soon, I begin to receive a few every single day. At one time, I started to get really annoyed deleting the invitation to join Facebook. At the end… since I Can’t beat the crowd, I join them lah!

Woah..months later, I’m hooked to it. This is the only place you can trace back all your old friends from school, my blogging friends, friends and friends-of-a-friend who’s also your friend from present and ex-companies and fuyooo… I believe at this moment, FACEBOOK is my only hope left to reunite with my past. The minute you add a friend, there’s a possibility that you’ll find mutual friends in his/her list to add to yours. Who knows, sekali you might  discover your Ex-lover is now married to your long lost cousin and all of you are now in the same FAMILY tree…..ewww  *touch wood*!!!. hehe

I’ve been trying to recall the names of all my buddies in college and yes, today, I found her on Facebook too. How cool! When long lost friends reunite, they’ve so much to catch up ya know :p.

Ciao for now, I’ve names to poke, eggs to deliver (not mine lar of course), cars to race, people to hug and cars to saman! Opps sorry, I think I’ve just turned into a Facebookaholic.. whatever that means…

12 lessons in total…11 more to go….

Everything turns out to be beautiful and perfect in the beginning of a relationship. The first few years of the relationship was a blast. There were butterflies in your stomach everytime the both of you winks at each other, the kisses were frequent and the hugs were tight and comforting. He’s ever pleasing and she was such a darling. They both believes they are meant to be together and so comes marriage…. and that’s where reality sinks in. hah! Managing finances, devotions, the caring HIM, the understanding HER, the passion, the warm hugs, the appreciation towards husband and wife, the gratitude.. will they still survive or will it all go down the drain?

The recent survey shows that the divorce rate in Malaysia is 3.5/10. Too often we hear people saying “Our sparks are gone” hence leads to betrayal, divorces and breakups. I blamed the influence of the Hollywood star’s lifestyle while X-T thinks that it has something to do with self discipline towards the worldly “temptations” wor.. You know la, other people’s husband/wife/gf/bf is always better then the one with you now. They’re tend to be more handsome, richer, prettier, nicer, cuter, fatter, skinnier, shorter, taller, more understanding, more this and more that. Have you ever wonder why you didn’t actually realised that in the beginning of the relationship? He or she was such an angel 10 years ago eh?

We believe that marriage is a journey and there’s so much we can learn from each other. We are not expecting our marriage to be fairytale like… a.k.a “They live happily ever after” stories. There will definately be ups and downs in our marriage and we want to learn how to deal with it as a couple with the help of God. Therefore, before we walk down the aisles to say I-Do, we’re attending a  12 weeks counselling conducted by dear Pastor J, as she prepares us in building up our new family and ways to enrich our marriage.

We believe it’s going to be a fun filled learning experience for the both of us :)
