The most frequestly asked questions I received lately since the announcement of our wedding is “How’s things” and “What’s left to do in your to-do list”.

Well, you noticed that there’s not much of updates lately here at Our Life Journey and our It’s all about da food was basically idle since the day we announced our wedding except for a few advertorial post. No worries, we’re still very much alive and kicking each other. hehe…

Well, honestly.. getting married is really really tiring but it’s truly an exciting journey for us. It was so fun we almost forgotten that we’re only left with merely 9 months to finish the whole process of getting ourselves married. We’ve yet to set a date for the pre-wedding photography and we’ve yet to submit the details to my darling designer sister. We’ve yet to set a date to attend the pre-wedding course which consist of 9 lessons and 1 test! Mom said invitation cards need to be distributed out by November 2008! *biting lips* My gowns..Oh gowns! I’ve not really decided what to wear. X-T can’t start shopping until he knows what I’m wearing so that we won’t look like a pair of walking christmas tree on that day :p. We’ve just purchased our first ‘nest’ and that spells MORE things to do. Furniture and renovation need to be completed before the wedding day… *faint with a smile*

There will be more travelling for us back to Ipoh for gown fitting, wedding stationaries  selections and photo-shot…

Oh well… there’s still 9 months to go right? *winks winks*

Breakie time…We’re gonna leave town, leave our “to-do list” for a couple of days…

 Yay!

So, today’s Chap Goh Meh. So this is the 15th day of the Lunar year, the last day of Chinese New Year and as I was sitting at the living room 2 hours ago, “shiok sendiri” munching on a handful of sunflower seeds while surfing the hopeless programs on Astro… I was actually smiling to myself thinking of all events that had happened to  a single lady like myself during Chinese New Year…..

The excitement of driving back to Ipoh alone at wee hours in the morning.

My reunion dinner back in Ipoh on the eve of CNY.

Can sit back, relax and enjoy my beloved mommy’s “Ju Hu Char” throughout the whole holiday at home.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST…

Oh well…this is exactly what happened during Chinese New Year for L’abeille every year. I’m just wondering how would my “next” CNY be like.

Next year will be L’abeille first year being someone’s yellow face woman wife..someone’s daughter-in-law… and to my dear aunties, we are so sorry to disappoint you guys. Your wish to be grand aunties and uncles by next Chinese New Year will most likely not be granted because…because… because…… XX XXXXX XX XXXX XXX XXXXX can ?! Muhahahaha….

YES…..IT’S TRUE because it has been Valentine’s day for the both of us since the day X-T and I decided to be together. We’ve been ’surprising’ *winks to x-t about my recent surprises* each other with ‘news’ and ‘presents’ so, it doesn’t really have to be done on Valentine’s Day!

You see, last time…some of my office ladies used to receive flowers on V day, birthdays and haydays. Now that they’re all married, not even a pot of artificial flowers were seen delivered to our doorstep jor lah. Well, of course one or two still mantain the “traditions” but majority?…ZERO. X-T and I believe in consistancy when it comes to relationship. Nothing bids a good laughter and a little motivation from each other on a bad day. Based on my experience, what’s important in a relationship is to be able to appreciate each other and not to take each other for granted. One should never have to wait for 14th Feb to be loved and appreciated and feeling neglected on other days.

Happy Valentine’s Day peeps! :)

Gong Xi Fa Chai!!! Greetings from Ipoh, a land filled with good food pretty girls, surrounded by hills and oh yeah…traffic lights!  Sei mou, I’ve been sitting at home like a princess since the day I arrived. Reason? Family thinks that it’s my ‘final’ year having reunion dinner as a daughter with them and therefore, I’m not allowed to even lift a finger to do anything. Good life you say? I’m starting to get a little bored after the 2nd day having nothing to do. Let’s see what I’ve done for the past 2 days… eat, sleep, bath, eat sleep sleep sleep sleep…….bath..eat… sleep… *shivers* I’m doing what Ipoh teens usually do now, hang out at the cybercafe until X-T arrives later in the afternoon for the family reunion dinner… Oh wait, I’m enjoying my ‘final ang pau’ collection this year…muahahaa… As usual, great harvest! how about you ar? muahhaha….
