We had a busy weekend. It started off with the “meet the parents” session on Saturday evening. We’ve heard horror stories of how parents from both parties having disagreement when it comes to discussion on dowry and everything related to “The BIG day”. *biting lips*. Phew! Thank God for understanding family members, the dinner went well and the two mothers chat as thought they’ve known each other for a very long time. As for the daddies… they’re so relaxed! Mmmm….cool!
On the same day, we drove to 1Utama to collect the engagement rings. Well, talking about the rings.. initially, we saw a few pretty diamond wedding rings but since X-T works in the Oil and Gas industry and he’s always on site, he’s worried that the diamond on his finger will accidentally drop off. Therefore, he said no-no to diamond engagement rings for himself and he decided to go for the plain ring.
On Sunday, we drove down to Ipoh to meet up with Jetfynn since we’re considering to have him as our pre-wedding and actual day photographer. X-T fell in love with his work and Mr Ong is the ONLY photographer that understands what X-T wants. We’ve been visiting a few bridal shops around the city and it seems that they just don’t understand what’s the meaning of “SIMPLE & SWEET“. Call us old fashion but feathers on my hair and tattoo on my face is not my cup of tea lor.
We wish to walk down the aisles in this church. Our pastor is currently checking on the date’s availability.
CHURCH OF ST. JOHN , IPOH
The St John’s Church, or formally, the Church of St John’s the Divine, is an Anglican church facing Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab, also known as Jalan Kelab (formerly Club Road), across the road from the St Michael’s Institution. The address of the church, however, is at Jalan St John. The St John’s Church building was completed in 1912, under the leadership of Reverend J.P. Parry. It has a knave measuring 72 ft long. During the Japanese Occupation of Second World War, there was religious suppression. The church was forcefully converted into a noodle factory. After the war, it reverted to being a place of worship. John Hayter was instrumental in the abolishment of the chaplaincy system and the establishment of the parochial church council in 1947 where the various ethnic communities, including the Europeans, Tamils land Chinese have a representation. We’ve finalised two pre wedding shot locations around Perak.
Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort
Maybe a few shots of us racing in buggy?
Green glass, calm water and blue sky.. the secret recipe to bollywood style pics? :p
The next pre-wedding shot we love would be The Kellie’s Castle
Kellie’s Castle is now a popular local tourist attraction and was used as a setting in the 1999 film Anna and the King
The only thing I’m extremely worried when it comes to Kellie’s Castle is not the unrest spirits within the premise…
BUT
THIS!!!
The floor in the castle is so uneven.. How am I going to climb up the building with my heels and gown … ?
