If there is a reason for me to give up something or my time or doing something for my beloved would label as a sacrifice, then there’s a good enough reason to justify it, otherwise I wouldn’t be necessary–It wouldn’t be an option.
Have you ever done things for the one you love that can even be considered completely unreasonable under normal circumstance?
Because love is about all about giving, about selflessness, ever forgiving and all about truly caring for another as if he or she were yourself. It’s not sacrifice, it’s just love. It is an act coming from the deepest self. True?
Someone wrote this…..
“Our love for one another is imperfect, because we by our nature are imperfect. That being said there are transcendental moments when people can obtain for the slightest moment a glimmer of what pure love is.
I say a glimmer because only God is perfect and able to sustain such love, all we can hope for is the opportunity to experience it in a manner that does not result in our death.” - Thanks bro!
So, what would I do for someone I love? As much as I can….

X-trail’s birthday is coming. Oh boy, I love celebrating birthdays…erm…I mean not my own because the numbers doesn’t add on to my age hah!
I’ve exactly two weeks to make my decision and finalize my “master plans”.
I’ve asked him a few questions via the almighty email and here are his answers:-
1)Romantic or Boring?
BORING (ACCORDING TO SOME QUARTERS)
2)Lobster or Bird….?
LOBSTER (AS I’VE NOT HAD IT B4)
3)Pond or Land?
POND
4)Daytime or Night?
NIGHT (I’M NORTURNAL)
5)You love me more than yesterday or less than tomorrow?
LOVE YOU MORE THAN YESTERDAY (MOST DEFINITELY - MORE AND MORE EACH DAY)
******************************
So darling…here’s some clues on what to expect on your special day:-
1) Boring- Nah…this question has got nothing to do with you :)) Anyway, your wish is my command.
2) Lobster - Err..dried shrimps are prawns too..and you love them deep fried right? right? No?!?
3) POND- Pond? WHY POND? Why not land?
*tears rolling down my cheek* wipe wipe *roll some more*
4) Night- Good! Now I’ve more time to sharpen my teeth and claws during the day..buahaha
5) “Doctor, can I postpone my sugar level checkup until next year? I’m on sugar high right now!”

If you think that you and your partner MUST share the same interest in order to enjoy a happy & successful marriage….in my opinion, it’s only 1/2 true! My mom sings very well, loves to watch people dance and she enjoys musical plays very much and hates shopping. She’s married to a man who loves watching wrestling, loves shopping, sleeps in a musical play and doesn’t know how to appreciate the art of dancing.
But both of them do have common interest…they both love me and my sis..WHAT??? I can’t count that in? haha…ok.. ok…, they love traveling together as a family, they love exploring new eateries and they love animals. So I guess, we as their children should fill the gap and pamper them on things they’re not able to enjoy with each other….right?
Since it was mom’s birthday, we bought her a ticket to the musical….
MY FAIR LADY-the musical came to Malaysia last week. We enjoyed The Producer during our trip to London last year. We were spoiled with choices from Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Dirty Dancing, Guys and Dolls and Mamma Mia just to name a few. I remembered I was munching on a piece of over sized pizza facing the ticketing counter holding a list of musical titles for at least 10 minutes just to decide which one to watch!
Visiting London without experiencing their West End Musicals at any of those beautiful theatres around Covent Garden is like leaving Australia without meeting the Koalas or Kangaroos, going to Shanghai but didn’t visit The Bund (Seong Hoi Tarn) at night-it’s so beautifulllll, visiting Penang without trying their asam laksa or even coming to KL without visiting L’abeille..HAH! Ok..that’s enough.
Sis was with dad that evening, doing what he likes best-shopping and dining while mom, X-trail and I went for the musical. I shall skip our dinner review and I shall not even mention where the cafe is! The food there used to be good but that day, it was disappointing….

The tickets were couriered to my office 1 month before the show.

The play was held at the The Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. It’s situated right next to our Malaysia’s very own Twin Tower.
The 3.5hrs (15 minutes interval) show was mesmerizing. As good as the ones I watched in London. Worth every penny spent on the tickets! Bravo…bravo…

This incident happened over the phone today and I would like to share with all of you…
If you receive a voice recorded message informing that you’ve missed a hearing on a particular date and you’re given a second chance to go for the second hearing at a later date…PLEASE PUT DOWN THE PHONE. You’ve be given options to press “1″ to listen to the voice message again or “2″ for more information. When “2″ is selected, the caller (speaking perfect English) will confirm your full name and IC number. They might even ask for your account number. For my case, it says that the name and the IC number appears in some “loan shark” file and we need to provide certain personal information to “clear our name”. *EVERYBODY should know that if we’re to be called to the court, we would’ve received letter from the court or some kind of warning letters*
Out of curiosity, I asked for the caller’s phone number and name. The moment he puts down the phone, I checked the number with our local telco and I was told that this number is not in service. Hah! I called up one of my friends (who’s a bank officer in one of Malaysia’s leading bank) to share my “experience”. He said there’s nothing these people can do with just the name and the IC# they’re having as long as we do not follow their instructions by providing account numbers and PINs (aiyor…isn’t it STUPID to provide such info over the phone????!!!!)
In the past, everybody was greedy. Most people were caught in “lucky draw” and “you look lucky today, come claim your gifts” scam. Guess these people changed their strategies lately…cheating in a more creative way..i supposed.
But one thing still lingers in my mind…WHERE ON EARTH they can obtain the name, telephone number and IC#?!?
So….Malaysians…WAKE UP and be warned!

The moment I tell parents that we’re going to a restaurant called “Out of Africa” to celebrate sister’s birthday, I see two interesting expressions:-
Mom gave me the sour grape grin and said… “Aiyor, have to eat all those wild animals one ar, I cannot one lar, do they serve seafood fried rice? Dad was pretty adventurest…he said “Wah good, can eat lion, tiger…..do they serve elephant meat too? What about crocs? Hah!
As for darling X-trail… what else? Africa = Ostrich to him!

The Starters
We had Jungle Salad & Potato Skins… I forgot to take a photo of it…we were all TOO HUNGRY after waiting nearly 30 minutes for our starters …. *ROAR*
Our next starter, 1/2 doz. sizzling snails baked in garlic herb butter sauce. Haha…you should see mom and dad’s eyes watching three of us sucking the snails dry…
The Mains

Mom ordered Cape Seafood Platter. One of the best in town I would say!

Dad was a little disappointed knowing that Elephant ribs are actually beef ribs …he had Oudshoorn Roast Ostrich Oven roasted Ostrich filet with mixed mushrooms, ginger crisps & red wine sauce. Something’s not right with this dish!…He ordered WHITE RICE to go along with the Ostrich… erm…looks abit like “Charp farn” (economy mix rice) isn’t it?!?
The birthday girl ordered Zuri Duck Van der Hum. It’s actually pan seared duck breast with orange sauce flavoured Van der Hum, a South African orange & ginger liqueur with mash potatoes…YUMMY!

The fan of big bird ordered 200gm of Ostrich Fillet each. Mine was with black pepper and dearie’s was showered with red wine sauce.
The Cocktail

Here’s my glass of Tequila sunrise.. So-so only.
