As usual, I rushed to the gym immediately after work. Dressed down and goes straight to the gym’s dance studio….

6pm sharp, a Chinese lady walked into the room with a pair of sexy white heels announcing to the class that she’s replacing my Brazilian dance instructor for the day.. Mmm, at that moment..I was thinking “it doesn’t matter who’s teaching lah, I just wanna sweat it all out… right?”

WRONG!!!!

I really wanna know where this so called replacement “instructor” came from… ahem…

Her first instruction was “Ladies with long hair, let your hair down” because we’re gonna do this…

Swing your head to the back, follow the rhythm…..sway your hair all to the front, tilt your butt to the back…legs slightly apart (I said “SLIGHTLY”, legs open too wide will make you look like a constipated sumo wrestler) and finally, lift your head up facing the front with two hands touching your………erm…tummy and finally, lift both hands up the air..
Goodness, she said this is very very “EASY”!

Photo “pimjam-ed” from this website (I was just trying to show you a similar choreography we did). I didn’t take any photo of the dance session because everybody was too “busy”.

What else we learned? Well, we were trained to glide hands up the straight leg and raising our head over the corresponding shoulder to look back at the “invisible” audience. Next, we need to smack our butt and rub knees on the wooden floor like a boneless monkey who needs to go to the loo….. or man called that “sexy”?

Oh wait a minute…a guy walked into the dance studio and started dancing together with the group… Eww…just imagine a guy doing all those exotic movements…. blurks…disgusting! No, he ain’t gay!

Surprisingly, today…my entire body is aching, especially the waist, lower abdomen and hips area. It was a good dance experience for me BUT a little too embarrassing! Maybe I should only practice such choreography behind close doors?

I know this is a little silly but yes….I tug X-trail along with me to Toys R Us @ Mid Valley over the weekends just to get myself this little red monster. My favorite puppet among the rest in Sesame Street.

I love the way this little toy giggles and roll on the floor (check out the link) but not for long…. X-trail jokingly tells me a story before he goes home that evening..

He said “Dear, if you put Elmo inside your room…he might wake up in the middle of the night and starts giggling.. Elmo might run around in your room making noises?”.

I was thinking…Mmmm ….well, I might consider putting Elmo downstairs instead of my room. BUT what if Elmo knocks on my room door in the middle of the night begging to come inside? Arghhhhhhhhh…..when I open up the door, his eyes begin to glow???? Thanks dearie..you’ve just made my day!

Elmo’s gonna follow mom back to Ipoh on her next visit… MY DECISION’S FINAL….

Anyone interested to have a “Tickle Me *Emo* from Depress-A-ME Street” instead? ;)

Aww…isn’t she cute?

X-trail loves big bird …erm..hey, we’re talking about the ostrich alright?!. Since we’re going out for a little celebration cum once-a-blue-moon indulgence last weekend, he suggested Windmill Subang. We love their black pepper Ostrich steak because it tasted JUST like beef minus the guilt!

Unfortunately, it was out of season and we were told by the waiter to come back in June…. awwww… so disappointing! Luckily, their escargots, cod and sirloin was just as good. Sorry folks, no photo…I was too hungry that evening ;)

Poor darling!! His last piece of ostrich steak at Windmill was 4 years ago….Mmm…I wonder where I can get a slab of ostrich meat around here…

A picture tells a thousand words

I was bored to “death” yesterday afternoon until I came across some interesting articles and one of them captured my attention…

“To hold someone’s hand is to offer them affection, protection or comfort. It is a way to communicate that you are off the market. Practically speaking, it is an efficient way to squeeze through a crowd without losing your partner. ” said John M. Grohol, Psy.D. October 6, 2006

“Holding hands remains a sign of intimacy between friends and lovers, couples and family, keeping two people together as they navigate the world around them. It as powerful a gesture today as it was two hundred years ago.” -New York Times

Even if you don’t subscribe to the theories, I think you can tell a lot from a hand offered or indeed the response from a partner. A firm, enthusiastic grip is a good sign, any indication of hesitancy or even repulsion are pretty obvious signs that something isn’t right. As with most aspects of relationships, nothing is ever as clear cut as people would have us imagine.

L’abeille says “It’s sad to know that nowadays, we tend to hold on to our handheld devices more than the hands of our love ones…”

In today’s age of impure food, vitamins and supplements are something everyone needs to resort to. Although not very commonly see, but one such deficiency maybe that of b12 vitamin, leading to pernicious anemia. That can in turn result to intolerance to sulfur containing drugs. This is why vitamins are to be paid attention to.

X-trail thinks I am going nuts, my office people came telling me that I look extra cheerful today. My emails to clients are extra sweet today. I am more lenient to irritating people around me too.

A big thank you to all my uncles and aunties who helped me in getting “things” done. Most of all, my darling who’s ever so supportive when I am almost directionless….

Let’s pop the champagne!
