L’abeille has finally decided to close the ‘door’

I started blogging 5 years ago. It all started with a few miserably failed ones and later, with the support and encouragement from a few serious bloggers, I started to get a hang of it. I begin to blog regularly and little did I know, I soon begin to discover that I could even make some pocket money out of it.

After the rough episode that had happened to me 3 years ago, I started to blog even more because I wish to record the progress of my recovery and how things changed miraculously throughout “My life journey”… to a better one, of course! My blog title was immediately changed to “Our Life Journey” when X-T walked into my life. The man who brought colours back into my life. We wanted our blog to be a journal to remind us on how blessed we are throughout “Our Life Journey” as we read the collection of articles in our 2 blogs when we’re old and grey.

Therefore, today’s article is the toughest post I’ve ever written in my entire blogging journey. It is so hard to put it into words and it brought tears to my eyes. This, my dear readers will be my last post in “Our Life Journey” and also “It’s all about da food” for some very good reasons.

I thank all of you for your support thoughout my blogging journey. I hope that the friends I’ve met throughout my blogging journey will keep in touch with me through one of the many options available in the world. But hey, that doesn’t mean I am not stalking your blogs ya…

8 more days to go to our wedding day. X-T has been supportive over my decision to stop blogging. There are other ‘ information medias’ I’m terminating too but I’m doing things one thing at a time. We believe that from this day onwards, our sweet memories will be kept deep in our hearts but Our life will be kept private… at least for now. Unless, who knows, our future kiddo decided to blog about parents and put up our faces on the net once again.. *cough cough*

Suddenly..

Mr Postman from the door calls out my name and passed me a parcel.

It was a surprised parcel from Judy. My college mate and my blogging buddy.  

The curious cat couldn’t wait until she reaches home to open up the gift together with the hubby.

So, like a ‘lil girl, she ripped the package, reads the card content and even open up the gift herself! keke :p

Thanks Judelittle & her family for the sweet gift and the lovely card. No, we’re not gonna use the oh-so-kawaii gift you send us. It’s sitting in our glass display cabinet at home now ;) *hugs*

…Pre wedding photographer promised me the sample template should be out in the next 3-4 days. We should be getting our photo-syoked wedding photos from our wedding photographer.. eh ello! Habuk pun tarak! *cryyyyyyyyyy* 

…X-T has given me my Christmas present 3 days ago.. so early hor? This time around, another very practical present for me and it’s kinda…benefit the household too :p. Can’t wait to lay my hands on the sparking thingy..but I’ve yet to decide if I should give  him gift A or gift B or BOTH*…no time oredi*

…5 days to maternal side tea ceremony and there’s a party after that.  There’s more to plan…..MORE PLANS coming up. No, the pic shown above is not my set. I pinjam the photo from someone because I think it’s sweet yet not too traditional :p. 

… On the 29th day before the wedding and the head usher said “Oh no, I will still be in Singapore and will only be back for the wedding dinner, I’m soreeeeee”. Oh Bless you! Now a new vacancy is available for the Holy Matrimony. *panic panic*

… In just a short 3 weeks time, Mister & Missus will officially move into the new place and I’ve yet to finish packing my moutain of clothings and shelf full of kitchen equipments! We’ve just finished packing Mister’s stuff from his bachelor’s crib and I couldn’t imagine MAN can have so little to pack!

If anyone where to ask me what I want for this Christmas…I would say I wish I could hop into a plane, fly somewhere and HIDE (…along with my husband of course)….I need a week or two of plan-free getaway. I don’t even care if it’s a 10hr flight or a 45 minutes drive to the secret hideaway anymore. Sigh, but unfortunately, time and since Mr fiance’s handling a very huge project at the moment and the possibilities of ‘changes’ crippled us from planning anything at all at the moment. *wipe tears*

I decided to celebrate and have a little Thanksgiving dinner at the apartment yesterday evening. Nothing fancy, just the two of us- XT & I, grilled boneless chicken leg with lots of whatever herbs and bbq seasoning I could find on my kitchen shelf. Lean beef bolognese was served with angel hair too. It was a 1 hr & 10 mins of cooking compared to my usual ” by the 30th minute-dinner would be on the table-daily” time frame I gave myself. The char-grilled chicken was juicy and the bolognese was somehow heavenly. Thanks to my daily dose of Chef Micheal Smith on AFC every morning before I go to work. His daily tips on “cooking without a recipe suits my “chin chai bong chay” attitude when it comes to cooking. My limited resources at my current kitchen has made my cooking even more challenging than before. Just the other day, I was attempting to cook kung poh chicken without sugar, oyster sauce and oil. -.- 

Sorry, no Thanksgiving meal photo to show this time. That’s the reason why this post ended up here instead of our foodie blog - It’s all about the food. We were starving and started eating as soon as the char-grilled chicken and bolognese was placed on the dining table. Geez… it was a meaningful meal as it was my first proper dinner prepared at my kitchen, it was Thanksgiving night and I’m thankful for the cosy place X-T has prepared for me and the best part was, the rain out there started to pour heavily. The breeze…..Woah.. best!

After an hour digesting our dinners, it was time for some badminton at the club for us. One word… FUN!

We ended the evening at our fav hangout place- da loveseats with his eyes 1/2 opened while watching a comedy. Mine was 1/4 open thoughout the show. I blame the deem lightings and the aircon.  It’s just too comfortable to sit up right.

Wedding plans and wedding day discussions was set aside yesterday because I wanted to enjoy the evening. But letting go of everything behind and clearing my mind from the blissful stress makes me sleepy… very sleep…. Guess I’m a sucker for pain huh?
